This years recipients of the HNA Fellowships were announced at the members meeting on February 23. They are:
- Dr. Saskia Beranek, Asst. Prof. of Art History, Wonsook Kim College of Fine Art, Illinois State University; funds toward book project Amalia van Solms and Portrait Culture in the Dutch Republic (1625-1675): Gender, patronage, portrayal, and display.
- Dr. Stefaniia Demchuk, Assoc. Prof. of Art History, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv; research funds for 2 weeks of archival research in Brussels and Bruges for final phase of drafting their book manuscript on the Triptych of the Abbey of Dielegem in Brussels
- Joyce Zhou, PhD Candidate in the History of Art at Yale University; funding summer travel to Japan to study specific objects in a chapter for their dissertation “The Art and Material Culture of Women in Early Modern Batavia”
- Melinda Susanto, PhD Candidate in History at Leiden University; funding for archival research at the British Library and Royal Society archives, London, for Engelbert Kaempfer materials, for their dissertation-related project “Bodies on the Move: Visual and Material Practices of Medicine in the Dutch Indian Ocean World”
