Next Friday, May 8, from 2:00-3:15 pm (EST) we will be holding our annual HNA Dissertation Forum. This is an opportunity to hear from three graduate students who are in the earlier phases of their dissertation projects. Our student-speakers will be:
- Michele Castelli, “The Master of the Baroncelli Portraits: an Early Netherlandish Artist in Late Fifteenth-Century Bruges” (University of Bologna)
- Simone Edgar Holmes, “Ecocritical Cartographies: Nature, Power, and Resistance in Maps of Dutch Colonial Suriname” (University College, London)
- Alexandra Butterfield, “Evoking the Choir Screen: Depictions of the Jubé in Northern European Art, c. 1430-1530” (Emory University)
We invite HNA members, and especially those involved in our mentorship program, to attend. The Zoom link is: https://temple.zoom.us/j/
