In April of 2017, Bart Cornelis began his position as Curator of Dutch and Flemish paintings, ca. 1600-1800, at the National Gallery in London. Prior to joining the National Gallery, Cornelis was an editor at the Burlington Magazine since 2001, and Deputy Editor since 2005. From 1998-2000, he was an Assistant Curator at the Rijksmuseum where he worked on the monumental exhibition, The Glory of the Golden Age (2000). He also guest curated the Adriaen de Velde exhibition at the Rijksmuseum and Dulwich Picture Gallery in 2016.
