This position carries the following responsibilities and qualifications:
- Field in a timely manner queries about membership, payments and other matters that come to the attention of the organization. This often includes:]
- following up on failed payments and assisting members to update or change their payment information.
- maintaining the Institutional memberships
- Be the point person for handling financial matters. This includes:
- Working with Treasurer to resolve any issues regarding memberships and dues payments.
- Working with the President in corresponding with contributors to the Endowment.
- Responding to special member requests, such as requests for specific invoices for institutional memberships/reimbursements.
- Assists other administrator and officers to provide updates to website design (e.g., on news, grants, job opportunities, conferences, exhibitions, etc.), functionality and security. The person in this position should also be a member of the website committee.
- Attend board meetings twice a year on Zoom. Serve as back-up to take minutes if the other administrator or Secretary is not available to do so.
- Advise and assist with the planning of the triennial HNA Conference as necessary.
The new administrator will work closely with the existing administrator, who handles website updates, social media and communications. Each administrator should be able to step in to handle the other’s tasks in the event of an emergency. Familiarity with the scholarship, current exhibitions, and special events related to the field, as well as with the functions of the organization are essential. A complementary HNA membership is given to the Administrator. Language skills (English, Dutch, French, German) highly desirable.
