Historians of Netherlandish Art seeks a new administrator and webmaster.
The position carries the following responsibilities and qualifications:
♦ Field in a timely manner queries about membership, payments and other matters that come to the attention of the organization.
♦ Update the website with news, exhibition, personalia notices and opportunities announcements. Maintain other sections of the website, including moderation of the message board and updating resources pages. Familiarity with wordpress is preferable, but the process is very easy to learn.
♦ Manage the HNA Facebook page and develop other social media directions.
♦ Work periodically with the programmer and designer to provide updates to board design, functionality and security.
♦ Work with the Administrative Editor of HNAR to upload book reviews to the website. Administrator also compiles New Titles List for HNAR and posts to the website. Update Dissertations list annually.
♦ Work closely with the officers and board members to facilitate activities of the organization, including maintaining mailing lists and sending announcements by email.
♦ Attend the annual board meeting at the College Art Association Annual Conference each year. Work with officers to distribute agenda and budget information to board, take minutes at the meeting, and edit and distribute them following the meeting.
♦ Work with Treasurer to resolve any issues regarding memberships and dues payments. Also work with the President in corresponding with contributors to the Endowment.
♦ Advise and assist with the planning of the triennial HNA Conference as necessary.
♦ Act as archivist for the organization, keeping current and older records on file for consultation as necessary.
♦ Membership in HNA and familiarity with the scholarship and functions of the organization is essential. A complementary HNA membership is given to the Administrator. Language skills (English, Dutch, German) highly desirable.
