Ilona van Tuinen Appointed Curator of Drawings in Rijksprentenkabinet

Ilona van Tuinen, who is currently the Curator of Drawings and Prints at the Morgan Library & Museum, New York, has been appointed Curator of 16th- and 17th-Century Dutch and Flemish Drawings in the Rijksprentenkabinet, Amsterdam. She will succeed Marijn Schapelhouman, who is retiring. Before coming to the Morgan, Van Tuinen worked as Assistant Curator at the Leiden Collection, New York from 2011-2014, and she held the position of Assistant Curator at the Frits Lugt Collection Fondation Custodia, Paris  (2014-2015). Before leaving the Morgan, Van Tuinen will install her exhibition, Power and Grace: Drawings by Rubens, Van Dyck, and Jordaens, opening on January 19, 2018.
