In Memoriam: Anton Boschloo

Obituary: Anton Boschloo (1938-2014)

 
Anton Boschloo passed away June 11, 2014. He worked at the Nederlands Kunsthistorisch Instituut in Florence from 1966 to 1976 when he was appointed professor at the University of Leiden where he stayed till 2001. Although an expert in Italian art, he is known to historians of Netherlandish art for his role (among others) as one of the organizers and editors of Aemulatio. Imitation, Emulation and Invention in Netherlandish Art from 1500 to 1800. Essays in Honor of Eric Jan Sluijter (2011).
