HNA is pleased to announce the results of our election for President and Vice President, who will serve four terms beginning in February 2025:
President-elect Elizabeth A. Honig
I am truly honored that the members of HNA have elected me to be the new President of this association. Hard as it will be to follow in Walter Melion’s distinguished footsteps, I will do my very best to keep us moving on the path that he, and his predecessors, charted. I am so glad to be able to work with a continuing Vice President, and I know that Walter will also guide my early footsteps. I look forward in particular to working with the wonderful and very active committees. I am really impressed by all that they have done, and plan to do.
Vice President-elect Ashley West
Thank you to everyone for entrusting me to continue serving as your Vice President. I have learned much working with Walter and our HNA officers and Board over the past few years and listening to the needs and desires of our membership. We are on firm ground in terms of compliance with our bylaws, an updated and revitalized mission statement, and robust membership. Now I’m looking forward to working closely with Elizabeth Honig to build on that, and to stick also with what we do so well as a organization: in creating a welcoming and collegial atmosphere, opportunities for professional growth, and support for the study of culture, art, and humanities as we face our future together.
