Job Posting: Frans Hals Museum Seeks Director

The Frans Hals Museum is looking for a new general director now that Ann Demeester, after having worked for the museum for eight years, will leave Haarlem on 1 February 2022 to lead the Kunsthaus Zurich. The museum is looking for a candidate who has affinity with both Old Masters as well as contemporary art.

General Director

The general director of the Frans Hals Museum is ultimately responsible for the strategy, the organization of (inter)national exhibitions in collaboration with external partners, the management and maintenance of the collection, the preservation and broadening of public reach, and the media policy. In collaboration with the deputy director, the general director is responsible for the operational state of affairs and compliance with legislation and regulations, both artistically and in the field of heritage, as well as on the business and personnel side of the museum.

Please consult the museum’s website for the vacancy text (in Dutch).
