Joslyn Museum Reinstalls its European Galleries

The Joslyn Art Museum has opened its reinstalled European galleries. It also acquired two new Dutch works for its European collection: Landscape with a Mill by Jan van Goyen (1634) and Portrait of Nicolaes Willemsz. Lossy and His Wife Marittgen Pieters (1633). Lossy was the organist of the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam. The Van Goyen was purchased with money from the Berchel H. and Alice Dale Harper Estate, and the Donck was purchased with money from the Berchel H. and Alice Dale Harper Estate and bequest of Rose Marie Baumgarten.
