Marrigje Rikken Appointed as Head of Collections at Frans Hals Museum/De Hallen, Haarlem

On October 1, 2017, Dr. Marrigje Rikken began her position as Head of Collections at the Frans Hals Museum / De Hallen, Haarlem. Rikken was Associate Curator of Old Art at the Frans Hals Museum since 2014, and she is working on the exhibition Frans Hals and the Moderns, which will open in October 2018. In 2016, Rikken received her Ph.D. from the University of Leiden with a thesis on Southern Netherlandish animal imagery, entitled Dieren verbeeld.
