New Issue of Early Modern Low Countries Published

Vol. 6 No. 1 (2022) of the interdisciplinary journal Early Modern Low Countries has been published!

This rich volume, which is dedicated to alba amicora, includes an article by Marika Keblusek titled: ‘A Paper World. The Album Amicorum as a Collection Space’. Her article asks, amongst others: How do alba amicora interact with other book and manuscript genres, such as the emblem and the costume book? The volume also includes essays by Jeroen Vandommele, Sophie Reinders, Ad Leerintveld and an afterword by Werner Wilhelm Schnabel, doyen of Stammbuch research: ‘Observations on Stammbuch Research Past and Present’.
