The Summer 2023 issue (vol. 15.2) of the refereed, open-access Journal of Historians of Netherlandish Art (jhna.org) is published. Two feature articles address artistic and cultural encounters between the Netherlands and Southern Europe and demonstrate the far reach of Northern European culture in the early modern period. Also in this issue, two JHNA Perspectives essays examine recent scholarship, and suggest directions for the future, in two methodological approaches, each of which has had a transformative impact on the study of Netherlandish art.
