The Nomination Sub-Committee of HNA seeks nominations and self-nominations for three board positions due to fall vacant in February 2020.
Board member responsibilities include attending an annual meeting with HNA leadership (President, Vice President, Treasurer, et al) at the College Art Association Annual Conference. There, board members and leadership discuss and vote on the administration of HNA’s budget, the organization of its conference, the disposition of its sponsored sessions at affiliated conferences, administration of the HNA Fellowship, the management and layout of the organization’s websites, and the bylaws of the organization, and other issues as pertinent. Board members are encouraged to serve on sub-committees to assist with the varied efforts of the organization. Departing board members also oversee the election process for new board members. The term of office for all board positions is four years.
We particularly encourage nominations of members outside the U.S. Self-nominations are also welcome. Please send a brief paragraph describing the person’s qualifications, along with an updated CV, to Zee Onuf (zee.onuf@gmail.com), Art DiFuria (ajdifuria@gmail.com), and Bret Rothstein (brothste@indiana.edu) by 17 October of this year.
Following the submission of names, the committee will assemble a slate of candidates, with polling for current members of HNA to run from 24 October until 8 November. Successful candidates will receive notification by 8 December. Installation of the new board members will occur at the February 2020 meeting of the board, which coincides with the CAA conference in Chicago.
