Historians of Netherlandish Art Conference 2027
Save the Date! Wednesday, July 14 – Saturday, July 17, 2027
On behalf of the conference committee chairs, we invite you to save the date for HNA 2027, which will be co-hosted by Boston University and the Center for Netherlandish Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. This is the first HNA conference in North America since 2014 and the third conference held in Boston-Cambridge, an established and growing hub for the study of Netherlandish art. Boston University housing will be available at special rates for conference attendees and sessions will be held at both BU and the MFA Boston.

The Call for Session Proposals will be announced at the beginning of March 2026. The Program Committee is excited to invite session proposals concentrated around three main themes:
Theme 1: Contesting the Real in Netherlandish Art
Theme 2: Histories and Futures of Netherlandish Art History
Theme 3: Netherlandish Art History, Objects, and Museums
We will include more detailed information about the themes in the Call. We will also welcome session proposals in other areas, ensuring that the conference is a platform for the broad range of interests of HNA members.
