Thanks to the generous support of the Kress Foundation and other donors, HNA can offer a limited number of travel grants of up to $500 to members in need of financial assistance. We encourage graduate students and recent PhDs (with American/Canadian citizenship or who attended American/Canadian graduate programs) to apply and are extending our deadline for you only.
To apply:
1) Write a letter identifying yourself and the panel in which you are participating; and identity your country of citizenship, which affects which funding streams we can utilize. Then please explain your situation and include your estimated transportation costs to get to the conference.
2) For student applicants, please ask your primary advisor also to send a separate brief letter to verify that institutional support is not available to you.
Please submit your materials by April 15, 2024, to Walter Melion (wsmelio@emory.edu) and Ashley West (ashley.west@temple.edu). Grant awards will be determined by a committee appointed by the HNA president. Note that these travel grants are intended just to help underwrite travel costs, not registration fees, food, or housing.
