An internationally acclaimed character and amiable conversationalist with a refined style, Van Dyck was the official painter of the greatest courts in Europe. Through his paintings, and above all his majestic and piercing portraits, he traces his career, based on the bond with Rubens, the passion for Titian and the Venetian painters and on the dialogue with the other Flemish artists.
